The Other Side of Saint-Tropez
Peacocks.events was born from a personal connection to Saint-Tropez and from a lifelong interest in creating meaningful encounters between people.
When I returned to Europe after many years in the United States, I rediscovered the French Riviera – and the old village of Saint-Tropez, where I had spent time as a child.
At that time, there was only one peacock left near the citadel. Each evening, his call echoed across the village: beautiful and slightly melancholic, as though he were the final guardian of another Saint-Tropez – a quieter, more poetic place, closer to nature.
Over the years, the peacocks returned. They became part of everyday life in the village, strolling past the bakery in the morning, appearing on rooftops, wandering through the market and occasionally making their way towards the beach.
During the stillness of lockdown, my connection with them deepened. On evening walks around the citadel, I would often encounter them along the path. Every so often, one would unfold his magnificent wheel – a small and unexpected moment of beauty, humour and grace.
What the Peacock Represents
To me, the peacock represents the other side of Saint-Tropez.
Beyond the celebrated summer destination lies a living village shaped by nature, history and the changing seasons. It is a place that offers room for reflection and allows for the kind of unplanned encounters that remain with us long afterwards.
The peacock embodies that spirit: distinctive yet natural, elegant yet playful, familiar yet always capable of surprise.
It is this lesser-seen Saint-Tropez that inspires Peacocks.events.
The Art of the Encounter
For many years, I have curated salons, focused forums and private gatherings in different parts of the world – bringing the right people together, at the right moment and in a setting that encourages genuine exchange.
Peacocks.events is a Saint-Tropez expression of that same philosophy.
Each encounter is thoughtfully composed around its people, place and purpose. The intention is not simply to organise an event, but to create the conditions for meaningful conversation, fresh perspectives and memorable human connection.
Some gatherings are intimate and reflective. Others are cultural, exploratory or celebratory. What unites them is a sense of intention and a belief that the setting, the rhythm and the mix of guests all matter.
Saint-Tropez, Differently
Our focus often extends beyond the height of summer, to the seasons when the village breathes differently.
This is when the streets become quieter, the surrounding landscape reveals itself and the peacocks roam more freely. There is time to look more closely, listen more carefully and gather without haste.
Peacocks.events invites guests to experience Saint-Tropez beyond its familiar image – not only as a destination, but as a place of beauty, thoughtfulness and unexpected connection.
As curator of these encounters, I bring together people, place and purpose in ways that feel natural, personal and memorable – with a touch of peacock magic.
